Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka has been sued by a lady claiming to have been his secret lover after impregnating her and refusing to take responsibility.
The woman who filed an application through lawyer Danstan Omari claimed that their secret affair with Lusaka started in 2018.
They had unprotected intercourse in several instances and the lady broke the news of her pregnancy to the Speaker in May,2021.
The pregnancy news did not settle well with Lusaka, and since then, the two have had a strained relationship.
According to court documents seen by the Star Newspaper, Lusaka asked the lady to abort the baby.
“The cause of their disagreement was exacerbated by Lusaka’s insistence on terminating the pregnancy, a proposal that the applicant declined to accede to and now she is three months pregnant and counting since she discovered that she was expectant of Lusaka’s child as she has not been intimate with any other man other than the respondent, a fact that can be confirmed through a prenatal paternity test,” the lady said in suit papers.
Lawyer Danstan Omari also argued that Lusaka, has neglected the lady, making her pregnancy journey complicated as she cannot access high standard healthcare.
“Ken Lusaka’s defiant and brazen refusal to accept responsibility and assist the applicant to access esteemed hospitals capable of giving her highest standard of prenatal care threaten the life of their unborn child and is, therefore, in sharp contravention with the constitutional safeguards of life which begins at conception,” read the document seen by the star.
Lusaka’s controversy comes just before the dust on Mukhisa Kituyi alleged bedroom video leaked online.
The presidential hopeful was captured in his birthday suit, amid intimate moments with a lady who is not his wife.
On Monday morning, Bungoma residents defended Mukhisa Kituyi saying that the video is untrue.
According to the residents, the perpetrators have been threatened by Kituyi’s popularity and orchestrated the video to drag him into the mud.
