Senator Moses Kajwang asks Kenyans to pray for William Ruto ‘he’s bitter’

Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang has asked Kenyans to pray for William Ruto ahead of the 2022 elections.

In an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday, January 11, the ODM senator said that the deputy president is so vengeful and angry.

“Personally, I don’t want to take that line. I just want Kenyans to pray for (William) Ruto so that he is less angry and less vengeful and less divisive,” Senator Kajwang said.

Kajwang said he will not tell the deputy president to apologise over Meru Senator Mithika Linturi’s inciteful remarks over the weekend because he thinks Ruto believes in the things that the senator said.

“I am not one of those who will spend the next one month telling the DP to apologize over Linturi’s remarks. He seems to believe in the things that Linturi said,” he added.

On Sunday, January 9, Meru Senator Mithika Linturi made the controversial ‘madoadoa’ remarks in which he said politicians opposed to William Ruto’s presidential bid in Eldoret must be voted out

“Nawaomba kwamba madoadoa mliyo nayo hapa muweze kuondoa. (I urge you to do away with madodoa in your midst),” Linturi said.

The statement was however widely interpreted to mean Uasin Gishu residents should flush out anyone opposed to William Ruto’s presidential bid and it invoked bad memories of the deadly 2007/08 post-election violence.

According to Kajwang, the deputy president is the owner of the dog, in this case, Mithika Lintiuri.

Last month, former Gatanga Member of Parliament Peter Kenneth said William Ruto is too bitter to lead the country.

Kenneth, who was speaking on Tuesday, December 21, while drumming up support for Raila Odinga in Igembe, Meru County, said the deputy president is not suitable for the country’s top job as he would be a threat to the nation.

“Some presidential candidates are a threat to the nation. All they have is bitterness, and if they ascend to power, we will suffer, so we must be cautious,” Kenneth said in reference to William Ruto.
