Senator Sakaja on Raila’s secret plan to frustrate Mudavadi’s presidential ambition

by Enock Ndayala

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of financing the newly launched DAP-K party to frustrate Musalia Mudavadi’s presidential ambition.

In an interview with the Star Newspaper on Friday, January 28, the Jubilee legislator without mentioning names alleged that the former prime minister bankrolled Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi and his faction to cause discord in Mudavadi’s party.

“It is obvious now. Some people were being paid to create discord in ANC, we have evidence. They are trying to play down the influence of Musalia Mudavadi,” Sakaja said.

While terming the DAP-K party as an ODM in blue jacket, Sakaja further alleged that DAP-K chairman, Wafula Wamunyinyi was paid by Raila to cause trouble in FORD Kenya while he was still a member.

“DAP-K is just an ODM in a blue jacket. It is being bankrolled by them and that’s where the utapeli (conmanship) is. If you look at the chairman, Wafula Wamunyinyi, he was of course being paid by Raila (Odinga) to create problems in Ford Kenya against his coalition partner in NASA,” he said.

This comes at a time when the majority of the Amani National Congress party members have dumped Mudavadi with DAP-K and Azimio being major beneficiaries of the defections.

On Thursday, January 27, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala sensationally claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s handshake partner has been using some government officials to bribe ANC Members of Parliament to ditch Mudavadi’s party.

“The government has been calling ANC MPs asking them to leave the party by giving them money,” Malala said during a joint rally of Deputy President William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula in Nakuru.

Already, more than six legislators including Lurambi MP Titus Khamala have ditched Musalia Mudavadi in the last 30 days.
