Suna East MP Junet Mohammed says ODM party leader Raila Odinga was healed from COVID-19 because of the plans God has for him in 2022.
“I know God will bless us and in fact, I have already seen the signs. Our party leader here got Covid-19 but he recovered; that means God has a plan for him over 2022. God has a plan with us,” Junet Mohamed said.
Speaking during a tour of Tana River County on Monday, July 19, the Suna East MP gave direct hints that Raila Odinga will be in the presidential ballot in 2022.
In the event, Junet Mohamed also took a swipe at DP William Ruto over accusing the Jubilee government of failure yet he is part of them.
“People who are working in government come here, they tell you if you elect them they will do this and this. The question they should be asked is; ‘why not do it now? Why wait until we elect you?” Junet posed.
He also criticized Ruto’s Bottom-up economic approach.
“We as ODM, led by Raila Amollo Odinga want to bring money to the pockets of Kenyans. We don’t want these false prophets who are talking about a bottom up economy,” the Suna East MP said.
Junet Mohamed and other ODM leaders have accompanied Raila Odinga to a short tour of the coastal region.
In his tour, Raila has embarked on a journey to drum up support for the BBI once more.
He has assured residents that the BBI process will bypass the legal hurdle in the court of appeal and head to a referendum.
Over the weekend, both Raila and DP William Ruto were at the coast where they exchanged verbal barbs in different occasions.
As Ruto dismissed the BBI report, Raila told coastal residents that he was opposing the constitutional changes to continue looting from Kenyans.
“They are not interested in services reaching you, they want the money to be controlled in Nairobi for them to loot like they have been doing. But since they know they will not have anywhere to steal from, they want to oppose it and peddle lies to you,” he said.
