Time for reflection: Kalonzo Musyoka takes time off tough politics to interact with his animals

by Amos Khaemba

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has retreated to his rural home to reflect as he looks after his domestic animal after he missed out on being named Raila Odinga’s running mate.

While announcing his break away from the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition Kalonzo revealed that he will be taking a one-week break from active politics to reflect on the way forward.

“The matters at hand are weighty and I need time to reflect on what has happened and what is to come,” said Kalonzo.

On Thursday, May 19, the Wiper leader took to social media to share photos of him inspecting his vast farm at his Tseikuru home.

“It’s been a while; time for reflection.” Kalonzo captioned the photos.

In one of the photos, the former vice president is seen looking after cows in the grazing field. In another picture, Kalonzo is seen helping his domestic workers in harvesting vegetables.

Many Kenyans to social media to express different views regarding how the Wiper leader is using his one-week break.

A random Twitter user, Chun Li commended the Wiper leader for being a good farmer saying Kalonzo should join Kenya Kwanza because already he practices bottom-up farming.

“Kalonzo Musyoka salute for that side we don’t. A farmer indeed, now since you know what we go through feeds, fertilizers, etc (cost money) si you support this bottom-up deal, it is a future for farmers,” Chun Li said.

Another Twitter user Gerald said, “It’s time to decide sir! Kambas have no direction: it’s like a flock without a shepherd! Time not on our side back to Azimio and start rolling Kwa ground we take this thing! We are tired of being out of the government t! We need ourselves to be somewhere and benefit from the government!”

But even as Kalonzo continues to reflect on his rural home, there is speculation that he could be headed back to Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya.

According to multiple sources, the Wiper leader has set out new conditions that must be met before he could change his mind.
