However, Kogo commonly referred to as the “Community’s son” because he was educated by the same community through fundraising rejected the offer due to what he termed as lack of financial masses crossroad the constituency in search for votes.
The little-known Kogo who is considered to be the ideal candidate for the seat finally bowed to pressure and threw his hat at the ring to give Alfred Keter a run for his money.
While accepting to serve the Nandi Hills residents, Kogo who walked down the aisle a few months ago said he would first address the issues affecting tea Farmers in Nandi.
“Even before I fully settled down with my family, the community has tasked me with a big assignment, and with great humility, I have taken the challenge and am looking forward to articulating issues affecting Nandi Hills and the county as a when including challenges tea farmers who are the majority,” he said.
The high school teacher said he knew he will one day be a leader but not as early as now.
But just a soldier where duty calls at the oddest time, Kogo said he is ready to give Alfred Keter a run for his money.
