William Ruto ally promised KSh 500k if he wins MP seat in August

Ugandan-born lawyer David Matsanga has promised to give nominated MP David Sankok a cash reward of KSh 500k if he wins an elective seat in the upcoming General Election.

While appearing alongside MP David Sankok on TV 47 show on Thursday, January 6, Matsanga said the legislator is not as popular as he claims.

“I promise I will give you another KSh500,000 if you win. Today I give you a challenge. I want you to buy more cows, maybe two or three,” he dared.

The lawyer further vowed to field his own candidate to ensure that Sankok, a close ally of the Deputy President William Ruto does not win any elective seat.

“I will field somebody if you want to stand as an MP. I will field somebody to see whether you can win a slot from a direct election,” Matsanga stated.

Matsanga is the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the Africa World Media and has written various articles in some publication outlets in the country.

Sankok was nominated into the National Assembly by the ruling Jubilee party to represent People Living With Disabilities.

He is yet to declare which seat he will be seeking in the upcoming elections even as the clock ticks towards the much-awaited 2022 polls.

In one of the rrecently heated debates on the controversial Political Parties (Amendment) Bill 2021, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino hid crutches belonging to MP David Sankok.

The nominated MP later clarified that he has forgiven the youthful MP who put his life at risk by hiding his walking sticks.
