Led by businessman Eliud Owalo, Ruto allies from Nyanza met former politicians from the region to discuss an economic revival framework for the region.

Owalo met former MPs Rangwe Martin, Dalmas Otieno and former Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma.

The meeting held at a Nairobi hotel was also attended by academicians and economic experts from the Nyanza region.

Eliud Owalo noted that any person who wants an endorsement from the region should sign an agreement on improving the economic power of the region.

“Anyone who wants the presidency will have to sign an agreement with us before we endorse him. And fulfil the promises he made once he assumes office,” he said.

Also, the representatives insisted that anyone who seeks a gubernatorial position in Kisumu, Migori, Homabay and Siaya counties must have the required academic qualifications.

This meeting comes after Ruto allies from two other regions made the same demands to him.

These demands have further divided Ruto’s brigade as each region fights for their interests. Photo: Owalo/Facebook.

Tanga Tanga lefgislators from Mt. Kenya region had a meeting with Ruto where they presented him an economic framework to boost the financial power of their region.

In the meeting, the legislators also told Ruto that they will support him if only he assures them that he will pick a running mate from central region.

Later on, Ruto allies from the coastal region held the same talks. They formed a committee to come up with an economic framework.

They also demand that William Ruto picks a running mate from the coastal region in 2022.

These demands have further divided Ruto’s brigade as each region fights for their interests.
