Deputy President William Ruto has taken a swipe at politicians Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Musalia Mudavadi claiming they failed to help Raila achieve anything significant in politics.

Speaking at a political rally in Busia county the DP claimed he is the only politician who has helped Raila achieve a high political seat in Kenya.

“Let me ask you people, am I not the one who helped Raila until he became Kenya’s prime minister? Was I not taken to the ICC because of that and almost got jailed?” he posed to a huge cheering crowd in Busia county.

He was referring to his association with Raila Odinga in the run-up to the highly contested 2007 General Election, the aftermath which saw Raila become a prime minister following 2 months of post-election violence in the country.

He then tore into Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, FORD-K leader Moses Wetangula and Amani National Alliance leader Musalia Mudavadi saying they have not helped Raila make any progress in politics.

Her went ahead to term the trio ‘useless’.

“When I left Agwambo (Raila) to Kalonzo, Wetangula and Mudavadi, did they help him get any seat? Are they not useless people who reduced him to a loiterer?” Ruto went on while addressing a rally in Busia county in March.

William Ruto has made it clear he will be gunning for the presidency next year and even dared Raila Odinga to face him.

He is arguably the only politician who has held the highest number of campaign rallies ahead of the next General Election.

The ODM leader has however not made it clear whether or not he will be on the presidential ballot in the 2022 General Election.

On the other hand, Kalonzo, Wetangula, and Mudavadi appear to be taking their own direction away from Raila who they both worked together in the run-up to the 2017 General Election where they lost to Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto.
