William Ruto left in shock as aspirant sales Raila’s movement during Kenya Kwanza rally

Kenya’s President William Ruto revealed a raft of actions against opposition leader Raila Odinga over his plans to hold mass protests.

Deputy President William Ruto was left in shock after an aspirant for the Nambale Constituency mistakenly tells residents to vote for Azimio during the August 9 election.

Nambale MP aspirant Bernard Nandieki while addressing residents on Monday, February 7, during the Kenya Kwanza rally rallied residents to vote for Raila Odinga’s Azimio

“I will be MP for Nambale constituency, and am requesting you on behave of Nambale residents to vote Azimio,” Nandieki said as the crowd booed him.

The aspirant who seemed confused immediately tried to retract his statement only to refer to the Kenya Kwanza alliance as “Azimio ya Kenya Kwanza”.

“Kindly vote for Azimio ya Kenya Kwanza, led by the hustler himself William Ruto,” Nandieki added.

The incident happened in the full glare of DP Ruto and his brigade including ANC leader Musalia Muavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula.

Speaking at the rally DP Ruto who has been on a charm offensive in the Western region called upon Busia residents to vote for the Kenya Kwanza alliance in the forthcoming August 9 General Election.

The second in command termed Azimio la Umoja as ‘Kenya Baadaye’ saying its proponents aren’t after the uplifting the lives of the common man.

“There is no way that 50 people sitting at a hotel in Nairobi can plan to give the poor, a president. Is that logical? Shall we decide on our own who our presidential candidate will be or the rich will do it for us?” Ruto posed.

Ruto urged the people of Busia who have overwhelmingly voted for the ODM leader Raila Odinga in the previous elections to vote for the Kenya Kwanza.
