Deputy president Wiliam Ruto is a happy man after candidates allied to his hustelr political brand put in a good showing in three by-elections held yesterday.

UDA candidate won the Rurii ward by-election while in Bonchari constituency, another UDA candidate emerged third after ODM and Jubilee.

In Juja constituency by-election, a candidate vying on Moses Kuria party, anally of Ruto is poised to win the race against Jubilee party.

“We thank God for Hustler nation victory in Juja & Rurie and the awesome show in Bonchari. A big congratulations to all our hustler teams for a sterling performance against all odds. hongera our competitors, let’s keep it issue-based and pull together. Sasa tupange uchumi ( lets plan the exonomy) na (and) Big4,” Wrote Ruto on his Twitter page..

While tallying was halted following violent scenes at constituency tallying center, PEP is expected to clinch the seat based on preliminary results.

While celebrating the imminent win of his candidate, Moses Kuria remembered the tough battle throughout the campaign period.

On Wednesday night, Kuria’s team camped at the IEBC polling centre in Mangu High school where IEBC was forced to suspend tallying after disruptions led by Kiambu governor James Nyoro.

“This tragic story of 18th May 2021 will require a lot of energy to tell. It will be told for generations to come. For now all we can say is at this hour 3.42am on 19th May 2021, we are still stuck at the Mangu High School. We are not sure when we will leave this centre. That we escaped death by a whisker last evening is the most vivid proof that God is indeed still in the throne. We need your prayers above all else,” Wrote Kuria on his Facebook page.

In Bonchari constituency, it was a tough race between ODM, Jubilee and UDA.

ODM’s Omeke Robert Obwoto emerged the winner of the hotly contested seat.
