Deputy President William Ruto left a Murang’a hustler with smiles after he bought his goad at KSh 50,000 (430 US Dollars).

The 2022 presidential election front runner was on Monday, May 23, in Murang’a County to popularize his bottom-up economic model when the man approached him.

The man had painted the goat with United Democratic Alliance (UDA) colours an act that prompted the second in command to immediately buy it after the local pleaded with him to support the hustler.

“Sasa huyu kondoo mumempaka rangi mapaka amekuwa wa UDA, Ngoja, weka Kondoo hapo kando nitakununulia, relax. Nichukulia hiyo kondoo kwa KSh 50,000 (Now that you have painted the goat until it looks like UDA Okay put it aside. I will buy it at KSh 50,000),” William Ruto said.

The former Jubilee deputy party leader who has centered his campaigns on empowering the lowly Kenyans across the country with the aim of uplifting their lives further paid KSh 200,000 to a needy girl who was sent home over school fees arrears.

Ruto who was in Gitugi, Mathioya constituency for his presidential campaigns encountered a needy student who was in the company of her mother identified the schoolgirl from the crowd and offered her a listening ear.

The Kenya Kwanza presidential flag bearer announced that he would be offsetting the arrears to secure her return to school.

“This girl is said to have been sent home due to fees arrears. I’m giving her KSh 200,000 to go clear with the school and get back to class,” he said.

In an attempt to undo the gains of Azimio la Umoja -One Kenya Coalition running mate Martha Karua’s recent whirlwind tour of the populous vote-rich Mt Kenya region, Ruto appears to use all sorts of manners to win back the region’s support.
