“The people of Kenya have rejected blackmail, deceit, and conmanship in our politics. Those who’ve taken our country hostage using patronage, force, and impunity watajua hawajui na Wakenya hawapangwingwi. Karibu Alfred Mutua and MCC party to Kenyan Kwanza family, the Hustler Nation,” William Ruto said in a Tweet.

Ruto further welcomed the speaker of Kilifi County Assembly Jimmy Kahindi of ODM to Kenya Kwanza saying the just registered Kenya Kwanza is a coalition for the economic empowerment of ordinary Kenyans.

While exiting Azimio earlier on, the second-term governor accused the Raila Odinga-led coalition of unequal treatment of political parties in the formation.

The outgoing county boss further revealed that the coalition’s leadership has never given them a copy of documents signed while forming the coalition.

Mutua who was addressing journalists in Nairobi on Monday, May 9, said that he had already inked an agreement with Deputy President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza.

“I already have a copy unlike that for Azimio. I will transverse Kenya campaigning for William Ruto as I believe he is the best president to take Kenya forward,” he said.

In his grievances aired to the public, Mutua said that he had been sidelined in the decision-making processes of the coalition despite being part of the Azimio team.

“It has turned into a group of friends who meet for tea and make decisions,” Mutua said.
