Deputy President William Ruto has accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of misusing Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka in his quest for the presidency.
Speaking at Kangundo in Machakos, on Thursday, January, 19 during his tour of the Ukambani region, the DP took swipe at Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, saying he has gone through so many frustrations as a result of supporting Raila Odinga.
“I helped Raila until he became Prime Minister, then I discovered that he doesn’t love God, so I left him. I got tired and left him for Kalonzo. Kalonzo pushed him until his hairline is receding,” Ruto said.
“Kalonzo pushed him until his hairline is receding. If you get someone complaining about the church there is a problem,” Ruto added.
The second in command advised Kalonzo to join the Hustler movement saying claiming that the ODM leader cannot be pushed to the presidency any further.
“Even the last time Kalonzo said he was tired and he will be a fool to support him again,” DP Ruto said
During the tour, the DP promised to give all Kenyans subsidized National Hospital Insurance Fund if elected president in the August election.
Ruto said that his government will pay premiums for Kenyans who cannot afford the monthly contributions.
“God willing, by the end of this year, all Kenyans will have an NHIF cover. For those who cannot afford the monthly contributions, I will make sure the government pays for all of you,” Ruto said.
During his tour, the DP was accompanied by UDA Chairman Johnstone Muthama, MPs Munyaka(Machokas town), Nimrod Mbai (Kitui East), Mwirigi( Igembe South), Musyoka( Mwala), and Nyoro(Kiharu)
