William Ruto says Raila Odinga is a disgrace to the society ‘You have failed Kenyans’

Deputy President William Ruto has castigated the ODM leader Raila Odinga for questioning his performance in the government, yet himself as the opposition leader he has failed Kenyans.

Speaking at a politically charged rally in Kabarnet Sports Ground on Sunday, February 13, DP Ruto called out the former prime minister for failing in his role as the opposition leader.

“Shame on you the former Opposition. You were unable to be a strong opposition and changed into sycophants. You became brokers. If you were unable to be in the Opposition, you have no chance at all in being in any form of government,” said Ruto.

A visibly angered Ruto lashed out at his opponents for always doubting his contribution to the government he says he jointly formed with President Uhuru.

“You have no business on giving me a lecture on a government that I formed with Uhuru Kenyatta you were not there and you know nothing about this government. You know nothing on the agenda of this government,” Ruto said.

The second in command said the former prime minister cannot be entrusted with continuing with Jubilee projects as he has disgraced Kenyans by failing to effectively put the government under check while in opposition.

“You are a disgrace to the people of Kenya. The people of Kenya gave you a job to do in the opposition to keep the government in check instead you became brokers the administration,” Ruto said as the crowd cheered.

“The record of Jubilee administration, William Ruto knows everything because I was part of it because I was in the middle of it; because I know what we were doing and the only people who have the capacity to carry forward what succeeded and what made sense to Kenya is this Kenya Kwanza movement,” the second in command said.

The deputy president has always been accused of failing in his duties as the principal assistant to the president.

Even President Uhuru has on some occasions accused his deputy of engaging in early campaigns instead of concentrating on delivering the Jubilee administration promises.
