by Enock Ndayala
William Ruto has lashed out at the Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga saying he lacks the plan to transform the country.

A section of Deputy President William Ruto supporters on Tuesday, October 19, disrupted Raila’s Meru rally where he pitched tent on a vote hunting mission ahead of the 2022 General Election.

According to a video doing rounds on social media, Ruto-allied Kenyans can be heard chanting the DPs name in response to Raila Odinga’s rallying calls.

They responded ‘Ruto’ to every word Raila Odinga said but the ODM leader braved through and went on to share his message amidst the inturruption.

Supporters of Kenya’s Depuy President William Ruto on Tuesday, October 19, disrupted Raila’s Meru rally as the orange supremo pitched a tent in Mt Kenya East in a vote hunting mission ahead of the 2022 General Election.

It should be remembered that William Ruto is considered to be Raila Odinga’s most formidable competitor in the 2022 presidential race.

The move by William Ruto’s supporters to frustrate Raila Odinga’s rally in Meru has irked the hustler camp with Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany condemning the move.

Kositany, a close ally of the deputy president instead urged their supporters to listen and respect other leaders or keep off their political rallies.

“Let’s listen to anyone, however boring and uninspiring they may be, or just keep off their meetings, heckling isn’t healthy for our politics,” he said in a Tweet.

The chanting of Ruto slogans during Raila Odinga’s address to Meru locals happened just a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta urged Mt Kenya residents to listen keenly to every presidential aspirant.

The Head of State advised his supporters from Mt Kenya the region to be wary of politicians interested in their vote via empty and sweet-sounding promises, lest they regret falling for empty lies.

“Use your discretion to critically evaluate what they are telling you. Be on the watch out and judge them by their words. Some words are sweet, but do not always bear sweet fruits,” President Uhuru said.
