Woman offers to be Mumias East MP Peter Salasya’s wife ‘I won’t let you down’

Earlier this month, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya disclosed that he was looking for a woman to settle down with.

The legislator said who is not in a hurry in this mission, revealed that he was looking for a God-fearing woman and one who will support him in his political venture.

“I am just looking for a very prayerful woman, a very young girl, focused girl, supportive girl, presentable and must be able to speak to the people in the countryside. Are you willing to join me we go look for votes,” Salasya said.

In what appeared that the legislator’s mission was coming to an end, a lady took to the streets of Nairobi to confess her love and deep affection for the youthful legislator.

The woman identified as Lydia Ronald was seen holding a placard with the MP’s photo written ‘MP Peter Salasya Marry Me Please Mheshimiwa’.

In a viral video, Lydia asked for a hand in marriage saying that she has all the qualities the lawmaker was looking for in a wife.

She described herself as a God-fearing, hardworking and humble woman who would make a perfect wife for the MP.

“I promise him that if chooses me to be his wife I won’t disappoint him,” Lydia is heard saying amid laughter from onlookers.

Salasya who won the Mumias East parliamentary seat said he has been single since 2017 when he contested for the seat and lost.

The youthful MP said his then-girlfriend dumped him after he garnered 254 votes emerging the last in a contest that attracted nine aspirants.

“I loved her so much but when I went to get her back from the man’s house she asked me to leave and go play with my age mates as I could sustain her lifestyle,” Salasya said.
