William Ruto allies have descended on Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu after her series of attacks on the Deputy President.
The members of Tanga Tanga brigade, have asked Ngilu to keep off the DP and focus on matters of Kitui County.
William Ruto allies have also questioned if Charity Ngilu is speaking for someone else since she is known to be a supporter of President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“Mama Ngilu, tulia tu ufanyie hustlers wa Kitui kazi (calm down and work for Kitui people),
That’s the only way to continue building your legacy and inspiring the next generation of women leaders. Unwarranted vitriol against the DP will not profit you,” Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga told Charity Ngilu.
On the other hand, former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has accused Charity Ngilu of pettiness in her war against the Deputy President.
I’ve watched with utter dismay & indignation Mama Ngilu’s outbursts towards Wiliam Ruto. She seems to have forgotten her primary role of serving Kitui people before time catches up with her,
It’s unfortunate & absurd for her to choose pettiness instead of serving the electorate,” he wrote.
William Ruto allies have gone after Ngilu due to her constant reprimanding of the Deputy President, especially after his failed trip to Uganda.
On August 4, William Ruto had an interview on Inooro TV, where he clarified details on his aborted trip to Uganda.
In his interview, Ruto revealed that he helped a foreigner acquire a bank loan from Equity Bank.
In response to the revelation, the Kitui governor accused Ruto of neglecting the Kenyan youth, and supporting investments outside the country.
To add salt to this injury, Charity Ngilu came out gun blazing after DP Ruto indirectly protested the deportation of Harun Aydin, a Turkish man behind his failed trip.
Ngilu asked why Ruto was apologizing on behalf of a government that he is part of.
