Controversial city Pastor Victor Kanyare has assured President William Ruto that the 2027 Presidential election will be his to lose.

The Salvation Healing Ministry in one of his sermons asked his audience if they will be voting for President William Ruto’s re-election bid in the 2027 elections.

Surprisingly none of his congregants raised their hand.

However, when the city evangelist asked those who would be voting out President William Ruto, the whole congregation raised their hands.

As such the man of God said he was in solidarity with his church members and that Ruto would be a one-term president.

“Hii serikali ya UDA ni nyinyi mtaamua 2027 kama mutaichagua ama apana. Wangapi munaona mutaichagua hii serikali mwaka wa 2027? Wangapi munaona hii lazima iende nyumbani, inua mkono wako juu. Si munaona hata wahubiri tumesema hii serikali itaenda nyumbani,” he said.

Loosely translated to: This UDA government… is you who will in 2027 decide if you will vote for it or not. How many of you think they will elect this government in 2027? How many of you think this government should go home, raise your hand. Don’t you see even the preachers have said that the Kenya Kwanza government will go home?

It is worth noting that pastor Victor Kanyari is not the first religious leader to prophesy that William Ruto will be a one-term president.

Some of the religious leaders, especially those who were perceived to be ardent supporters of President William Ruto, are now challenging his administration over his failure to fulfill his campaign promises.

The leaders, representing diverse mainstream denominations, have on several occasions highlighted a growing disconnect between the government and its erstwhile allies in the faith community.
