A section of UDA, a party heavily associated with President William Ruto now wants nominated Senator Karen Nyamu expulsed.
This was after the senator while in Dubai last week left revelers entertained after she almost exchanged blows with Edday Nderitu over her baby Daddy singer Samuel Muchoki alias Samidoh.
As such, UDA National Youth Congress Jephenei Nyakwama Oringa has written to the top organ of the UDA party recommending the expulsion of Karen Nyamu from the party.
“In view of the foregoing, we recommend the immediate expulsion of senator Karen Nyamu Njeri from the party and subsequent expulsion from the senate pursuant to Article 103(1)(e)(i) of the Constitution of Kenya and Section 37 of the Elections Act with immediate effect,” Oringa said.
In a letter dated Monday, December 19, addressed to President William Ruto and UDA Secretary General Veronica Maina, Orina stated that the lawmaker failed to conduct herself in an orderly manner while in Dubai.
She said the dramatic scenes caused by city lawyer Karen Nyamu have since brought ridicule not only to the UDA party but to the country’s Head of State as well.
“Her actions have bought ridicule and greatly tainted the name and reputation of the party leader and the party,
“As members of the National Youth Congress, we are deeply disappointed and embarrassed by the conduct of the senator who appears intoxicated and disorderly in what appears to be a nightclub,” Orina said.
During Samidoh’s wrap-up show in Dubai last week, the senator was caught on camera demanding to spend time with Mugithi star Samidoh at the table he was chilling with his wife.
Later on, the lawyer apologized for the drama stating that she was under the influence of alcohol and vowed to quit drinking.
“I was drunk. Pray for me guys. If this love will make me look like a mad person, I need prayers aki,” she said.
