President Ruto stops taking tea with sugar and we know why

Kenya’s President William Ruto recently vowed to streamline the sugar industry back to its feet.

The Head of State who spoke during his five-day development tour of the vote-rich Mulembe nation earlier this week said sugar barons were sabotaging the government’s plan to revive and reform the ailing industry.

“We have already told all these people to leave! This company belongs to the people, and we plan to revive it as we entertain nobody. I have already given them three options; they either leave the country, I jail them, or they travel and go to heaven,” a tough-talking president said.

However, despite being tough on reviving the ailing sugar industry, the Head of State does not take tea with sugar.

President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto said her father instead prefers using honey.

“Our president loves honey so much that nowadays, he no longer takes tea with sugar,” the First Daughter said.

Speaking at a stakeholder’s forum on the importance of honey, Charlene said the president however lacks knowledge on which type of honey was the best.

Charlene, who has vast experience with honey, revealed that she has been schooling her father on what honey he should use frequently.

“But he also has a customer education challenge because sometimes he says he doesn’t want to see honey being too hard as it implies it is not good,” Charlene said.

Adding: “But I have been educating him on what type of honey has more nutrients than the other.”
