“The election has been hailed by numerous commentators and analysts as “the freest, fairest and most credible election in Kenyan history”, she said.

She further stated that the same was confirmed by the Supreme Court bench that unanimously declared President William Ruto as Kenya’s duly elected Head of State.

“The elections were observed by international and local organizations, and the results were upheld by the Kenyan Supreme Court, and power was transferred orderly and peacefully,” she added.

Her comments come amid protests on the process and outcome of the election from the opposition led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

In their thinking, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party insists that the 2022 presidential elections were rigged in favor of their opponents.

Raila and his 2022 presidential running mate Martha Karua have maintained that they will not recognize the legitimacy of President William Ruto.

According to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), William Ruto garnered 7.1 million just 200k votes ahead of Raila Odinga who scooped 6.9 million votes.

The ODM party leader protested the results and filed a petition at the Supreme Court which dismissed the case terming it as “hot air”.
