Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale is now accusing Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over what he says is scheming the 2032 politics.

In a video doing rounds on social media, the vocal senator said Gachagua is funding junior politicians to fight senior leaders in various regions so that he can have an easy time succeeding President William Ruto in 2032.

Khalwale who recently mended ties with former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya named UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala, and EALA MP Omar Hassan as those being used by Gachagua to fight senior leaders.

However, the lawmaker warned Gachagua that the 2032 presidential election is his to lose adding that it is a luyhia who will succeed President William Ruto in 2032.

“Deputy President Listen to me, whether you like it or not in 2032 just like Uhuru left and Ruto took over when Ruto exits, and a luyhia will take charge,” Khalwale said.

This comes at a time when the country’s second in command says he is not interested in who will become the next head of State after President William Ruto.

Gachagua said in his view it is too early to engage in the 2032 succession politics when there is too much work to be done adding that it was disrespectful to talk about 2032.

“As a country, we are facing difficulties, the President and I are very busy working on the economic revival of this country, creating opportunities for employment, and trying to look for foreign investors to directly invest here,

“I am seeing some people who are lost talking about the 2032 presidency. We are only one year in office, how can you talk about 2032 when even 2027 is a premature debate? Please don’t involve me in that debate of 2032,” he said.
