Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has lashed out at Deputy President William Ruto for having the tendency of insulting and belittling other leaders.

The governor wondered why Ruto has developed the habit of demeaning leaders from the he has visiting during his campaign for the August presidential election.

Speaking to the press in her office on Friday, January 21, Ngilu warned Ruto that Ukambani leaders will not stomach his demeaning language against Kalinzo Musyoka.

“I would like to ask William Samoei Ruto to really desist from the vulgar language that he has been using against leaders,” Ngilu said.

“The difference between Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and William Ruto is that one is honest. Kalonzo is a very honest, reliable and trustworthy person who has worked hard to bring peace to this country. And, therefore, combaring the two is comparing day and night,” Ngilu said.

Ngilu also cited the case of Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi, where the DP accused him of forcing Meru county to vote for Raila Odinga.

Ngilu’s criticism of Ruto is related to the comments of DP, where he took swipe at the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

During his tour of Machakos County, the second in command said Kalonzo has gone through so many frustrations as a result of supporting the ODM leader Raila Odinga.

“I helped Raila until he became prime minister, then I discovered that he doesn’t love God, so I left him for Kalonzo. Kalonzo pushed him until has hairline is receding,” Ruto said in Machakos.

On the August presidential election governor Ngilu advised Ruto to stop wasting time as Ukambani will support Azimio la Umoja under Raila Odinga. “Ruto should top wasting his time campaigning to Ukambani as he would not get any voting block support from the region,” Ngilu said
