Herman Manyora: I would have made Raila president

by Enock Ndayala

Political analyst Herman Manyora has claimed that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga would now be president if he were the one who managed his 2022 presidential campaigns.

In an interview with KTN News on Friday, August 18, Manyora said that the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate in the 2022 elections Raila had a disorganized structure.

The political analyst said Raila would garner more than 10 million votes against William Ruto’s four million if he was in charge of the Azimio la Umoja.

Political analyst Herman Manyora has claimed that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga would now be president if he were the one who managed his 2022 presidential campaigns.

He called people to respect Raila terming him as a magnate saying that he managed to get seven million votes without any structured campaigns.

“Raila got seven million votes without a structured campaign. If I would handle Raila’s campaign in 2022, he would have won by five million votes because there would be no contest. I tell people to respect Baba because he is a magnate,” Manyora said.

According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Raila got 6.9 million votes just 200k less than what the winner William Ruto got.

Manyora’s comments come just a day after Dagoreti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi sensationally revealed that leaders who are supposed to help Raila win are never always serious about the ODM leader becoming the president.

Elachi who was elected on the ODM ticket, a party belonging to Raila Odinga on Thursday, August 17, lamented that most leaders only use the name of the former prime minister to win elections and not him winning.

“Baba knows that sometimes we just play on him, many times we are not serious about him being President, we just use him for us to get our positions and after that, we are done,” said Elachi.
