Kisii Governor Simba Arati’s Chinese wife, christened Kwamboka has jokingly said she will not stop her husband from marrying other wives.

Kisii Governor Simba Arati has defended his administration after it was listed last in the development expenditure.

Speaking during an interview on Tuesday, September 26, the ODM governor he better be ranked last but safeguard the public resources.

Arati maintained that he would not be cowed by the flurry of online abuses being heaped on him for refusing to play along with thieves.

“They can continue abusing me but let them know that I will not allow thieves anywhere near public funds,” he added.

The former Dagoreti North Member of Parliament (MP) further defended her wife over her frequent visits to the County offices.

He dismissed claims that her wife was the one running the county stressing that her wife was only bringing him lunch.

“Those asking why she brings me food to the office, what is your concern, are you planning to do something fishy to me?” he posed.

Arati first paraded her Chinese wife in 2018 revealing that they are blessed with two children.

In the build-up to the August 2022 General Election, the then-gubernatorial Arati’s wife introduced herself as “Kwamboka Arati” and asked the Kisii people to vote for her husband, the crowd cheered her as she addressed them.

Even though Arati is a public figure he has managed to keep his family affairs private to the point of not even disclosing the name of his wife.
