Mike Sonko warns women against having tattoos of his face on their bodies

by Enock Ndayala

In the past few years, Kenyans have been showing their support for their favorite politicians to the extent that they tattoo their pictures on their bodies.

For instance, a Muranga woman decided to show her love for former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko after she tattooed his face on her body.

The young lady who’s commonly known as “Dem wa Murang’a” had tattooed politician Mike Sonko’s face on her leg.

However, in a statement on his social media pages, the flamboyant politician urged his loyal supporters to refrain from getting tattoos of his face on their bodies.

While acknowledging their support, the flamboyant politician said it was not mandatory for women to tattoo their bodies with his face to prove their loyalty.

Sonko, who unsuccessfully tried to contest for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat in the 2022 elections, urged his supporters to stop getting the tattoos adding that he still loves them even without having his tattoo.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) politician stated that those with his tattoos don’t need to publicly expose them as their bodies belong to their spouses.

“I have seen many ladies with tattoos of my face on their private parts. I love you as my fans but please, I will still love you without those tattoos. Because your body belongs to you and your husband. You don’t have to expose it,”

“However, I will look for Dem wa Murang’a and support her because she is my loyal supporter. But stop getting those tattoos,” Mike Sonko said.

Kivumbi.co.ke understands that Dem Wa Murang’a is not the first woman to have a tattoo of a Kenyan politician.

In the build-up to the August 9, General Election, a Kenyan Woman decided to show her love for the then-deputy president William Ruto.
