Last week, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed suggested that Deputy President William Ruto might face Embakasi East MP Babu Owino in the highly anticipated 2022 Presidential Debate.
The outspoken legislator in response said he had no problem if sent by his coalition to debate Kenya Kwanza leader William Ruto in the Tuesday, July 26, presidential debate.
Taking to the comments section, however, one of Babu Owino’s followers told him off, saying he was not Ruto’s equal and that should Embakasi East MP be sent to represent Raila, then the Kenya Kwanza Alliance will send Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi to debate him.
Babu Owino responded to the critic saying he was way better than Deputy Presidnet William Ruto in terms of intellectual ability.
While citing his academic qualifications, the ODM legislator- who keeps on bragging about his academic credentials– said whereas the deputy president has one degree, he has four and six diplomas.

Babu said the only two things that the United Democratic Alliance flag bearer William Ruto can beat him are age and thievery.
“He can’t match me. The two things he can beat me at are age and thievery. You can send Sudi to come to say (is was) English there,” the legislator said.
Kivumbi.co.ke understands that William Ruto graduated from Nairobi Unversity in 1990 with an undergraduate degree in Botany and Zoology. He also has a master’s degree in plant ecology and a Ph.D. in plant ecology from the same institution.
