ANC Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi has intensified his Mt Kenya region tours in a bid to seek the support of the people of the region as he continues to bolster his 2022 Presidential bid.
Mudavadi who has already declared his interest in the top seat was in Maragua Constituency of Murang’a County this weekend of May 23, 2021 just a week after he met key leaders who included Cabinet Secretaries, Governors, and Members of Parliament drawn from the Mt Kenya region
The previous meeting took place in Maragua, Nyeri county and brought on board former Members of Parliament led by former Gachoka Legislator Mutava Musyimi

Sagana Gateway Resort in Maruagua constituency of Murang’a County played host to over 50 former Members of Parliament and keys stakeholders, in the previous meeting, with the ANC Party leader seemingly seeking to tap into the vote-rich region.
Mudavadi has acknowledged that Mt Kenya region plays a pivotal role in determining who becomes the President of this country basing on their political influence and numbers.
“Mt Kenya regional is so pivotal and it is an axis you cannot ignore if you want the leadership of this country,
“The Numbers and the politics of Mt Kenya region voters means that they take a very keen eye on what is going on and the input, role and blessings from this region become very critical for this cause,” admits Mudavadi.
The ANC leader has also pointed out the growing in patience amongst the young people who consist of more than 60% of our population and they are the voters who will highly determine the outcome of the 2022 general election.
Among Key leaders that Mudavadi met in the last meeting were; former MPs Esther Murugi, Humphrey Karanja, John Kihagi, Kamande Mwangi, Stephen Ngare among others.
The One Kenya Alliance co-principal on the other hand was accompanied by Senators Johnson Sakaja and Cleophas Malalah, Kassim Tandaza of Matuga, ANC Party Chairman Kelvin Lunani and ANC Party luminaries Mclean Iganza Sloya who is eyeing the Sabatia Seat, David Wamatsi who is eyeing the Mumias West Seat and Simon Gikuru an ANC Party life member.
Mudavadi is banking on his new approach of engaging all stakeholders and opinion leaders, a model employed by Deputy President William Ruto who is also eyeing the country’s top seat in 2022.
“I am seeking your support so that I can become the President of the republic of Kenya post President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime. Naomba usaidizi wenu (I plead for your help), I need your partnership and I need your prayers.” Musalia Mudavadi told the meeting.
