Roots Party of Kenya presidential candidate George Wajackoyah polled 61,969 while Agano’s David Mwaure managed a paltry 31,987.

While Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party has given the clearest hint that they will challenge William Ruto’s presidential win at the Supreme Court, Mwaure and Wajackoyah have congratulated Ruto for the win.

In a video that has surfaced online, Wajackoyah was seen hugging the fifth president-elect and congratulating him for winning.

“Wewe kweli ni mwanaume (You really are a man),” Wajackoyah was heard saying in the video.

Ruto in response thanked Wajackoyah saying he at one point endorsed his bid.

“Nashkuru ulinitetea mahali moja ukisema hata kama hampendi huyu mtu… (Thank you for defending me at one point when my opponents were hard on me…) William Ruto responded as they shared light moments at the Bomas of Kenya, moments before the winner of the presidential rce was announced.

Earlier on, Agano party presidential candidate David Mwaure Waihiga conceded defeat even before the official announcement of Tuesday’s presidential election results.

The cleric-turned politician said the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party candidate has a better chance of clinching the seat.

“We wish to concede defeat in the presidential elections in the republic of Kenya of the year 2022 with verification on going in Bomas,

“We have also with our teams been following the ongoing exercise at Bomas and indicate that the figures there are and have consistency and undoubtedly been in favor of William Samoei Ruto, the current deputy president of the republic of Kenya,” he stated.
