The high number of Ruto’s security has raised sharp reactions from a section of political leaders as well as Kenyans who thought that the government had degraded the security details of the former Agriculture Minister.

“Is it morally right to issue one person, 257 police officers, when my constituency has only 80 police officers using old cars?” questioned Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed.
