Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has torn into Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s outbursts.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has in the recent past sustained his attacks on the ODM leader Raila Odinga over the state of the economy.

For instance, Gachagua has been on record accusing Raila Odina of abandoning his oversight role during the Jubilee reign hence allowing public coffers to be looted.

“You abandoned your duty to oversight roles… the government was looted. Now you are complaining about the high cost of living and it’s you who abandoned your work and left people to loot all the money,” Gachagua said.

However, on Thursday, November 10, journalist Linda Ogutu asked the second in command to stop his sustained attacks towards Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Ogutu, instead told Gachagua that the campaign period is over and that he should now focus on helping President William Ruto’s government deliver as per their pre-election promises.

“Someone needs to take the deputy president of the Republic of Kenya to a quiet room and slowly explain to him that they won the elections and campaign time is over.

“They need to emphasize that Kenyans now look up to him and the government to move the country forward and make it better for all of us,” Linda Ogutu said.

Her comments come just days after Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi called n government officials to stop blaming the opposition and former government for the problems facing the country.

“Elections are behind us, and the blame games won’t help; now we must put that behind us. If we continue engaging in the blame game, the currency will end faster than we imagine. We must move away from the blame game to service delivery,” Mudavadi said.
