Kenyans give moving tributes following Mwai Kibaki’s death

Kenyans from different political formations have joined hands in paying tribute to former President Mwai Kibaki who passed away following a long illness.
While announcing the sad news, President Uhuru Kenyatta centered saying he was behind the transformation of key sectors of the economy.
“On the 30th of December 2002, Mwai Kibaki was sworn in as the third president of the Republic of Kenya. The late former president’s administration conceptualized and spearheaded a transformation in crucial sectors,” President Uhuru said.

In his tribute, KANU boss Gideon Moi recalled how Kibaki transformed the economy during his tenure as the president.
“It is with a profound shock that I have learned of the death of Hon. Mwai Kibaki, the third President of the Republic of Kenya. President Kibaki will be remembered for steering the country into economic prosperity during his tenure 2003-2013.” Moi Twitted.


A random Twitter user Ongorishem said, ” My sincere condolences to the family third President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellence Mwai Kibaki following his untimely demise. We have lost an economist and a true leader who valued the life of Kenyans at heart. We will miss his economic legacy. RIP.”
Journalist Gibendi Ramenya celebrated the former president saying he remains the best president Kenyans have ever heard.
“Mwai Kibaki remains arguably Kenya’s best ever Head of State!,” Ramenya wrote on Twitter.


Political analyst David Makali said, “Farewell Emilio Mwai Kibaki. You served your country well, everything considered.”
In his tribute, Kabando was Kabando said the former president’s legacy of leadership integrity and resilience will be missed.
“Recognised, celebrated for his brilliance, focus, gentlemanly mien, and tolerance throughout his public life – treasured even more in retirement – President Mwai Kibaki’s legacy exemplifies Leadership Integrity, Resilience, Decency. Gone, Present. Fare Thee Well, Rest In Peace.”
Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga said,” You’ll forever be missed, President. Fly with the angels.”
