Lawyer advises President Ruto not to spare Raila no matter what

City lawyer Ahmednassir has said that the anti-government protests being propelled by opposition leader Raila Odinga are not good for the country.

In a statement on Tuesday, January 31, the lawyer warned that Raila’s continuous and endless protests will shake down the structure of the substratum of the state.

“He (Raila Odinga) will continue these challenges endlessly until he shakes down the structural substratum, of the state,” he said.

He termed Raila as a tribal warlord who is powerful enough that the organs and architecture of the state cannot address his habitual rage and rebellion.

As such, the vocal lawyer has advised Kenya’s President William Ruto to take the bull by its horns and crack the whip against the former Prime Minister.

“I have told President William Ruto endlessly that Kenya’s problem is a law and order problem. Everything else is secondary,

“We are such a banana republic that Raila and his ilk can contra-legally challenge the state endlessly, break the law of the land and we can’t do anything,” Ahmednassir said in a Tweet.

Nassir, a fierce critic of Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party presidential candidate Raila Odinga of holding the country hostage whenever he loses an election.

“The challenges by Raila have been a continuous thread since 1997, and no government was strong enough to enforce the rule of law against him,

“In the process, these perennial revolts have become Raila’s default mode, thus his assault on the state every time he loses the election,” he added.

Raila has announced plans to hold nationwide consultative meetings with Kenyans after a report by an alleged whistleblower claimed that Raila won the 2022 presidential elections by over 2 million votes.

“We defeated Ruto with over 2 million votes and even if we were to go back to the polls, we shall defeat him again,” Raila said.
