Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga now seems to be abandoned by his close friends.

Many of Raila’s close allies in the 2022 campaign have been avoiding his anti-Kenya Kwanza government rallies.

None of the 21 governors elected on the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party has ever attended the anti-government rallies.

Others who have skipped all of Raila Odinga’s weekly rallies held on every Sunday include Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe and Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed.

Junet and Murathe were vocal during the 2022 presidential campaigns as they drummed up support for their then-presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

ODM Deputy party leader and former Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho have not been featured in any of Raila Odinga’s rallies.

Former Presidential candidate Peter Kenneth, Siaya governor James Orengo, and former Kitui governor Charity Ngilu have not attended any of the rallies.

Others who have given Raila’s anti-government rallies a wide birth include Kisii Governor Simba Arati, Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, and Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior.

Raila who unsuccessfully contested the 2022 elections maintained that his weekly engagement meetings with Kenyans will continue and that he will not be intimidated.

Addressing his supporters at Kibra on Sunday, February 5, the former Prime Minister maintained that the 2022 general elections had been rigged in favor of Ruto and that the Azimio team had won.

He listed reasons why Ruto is not fit to be the President of Kenya adding that he will put into place a government that cares for the interests of the people.

“We will. That is the Azimio declaration. That we will put into place a government that cares for the interests of the people,” he said.
