The legislator from Murang’a County was irked after being roughed up by security officers at the VIP entrance of Kasarani Stadium.

Maragua MP was making her entry into the stadium when she was roughed up at the gate by the security officers who were in plain clothes.

This angered the legislator, who stormed out of the venue in protest wondering how Raila’s close supporters will behave should he become president.

She accused Raila Odinga’s men(the security) of being disrespectful to her, questioning how they would treat people if the ODM leader gets to State House.

Mkifika State House itakuwa aje? Tunataka watu ambao wamenyenyekea, mimi mjumbe amechaguliwa mnaniskuma kama gunia ya viazi. Mtanipata Murang’a (What if you get to State House? We want humble people, I am an elected MP and you are pushing me like a sack of potatoes. You will find me in Murang’a),” Mary Wamaua said before storming out of Raila’s event.

Efforts by some security officers to calm the Maragua MP down did not bear any fruits.

However, Kivumbi.co.ke could not immediately verify whether the MP was mistreated due to her links with Deputy President William Ruto or lacking requisite clearance to access the VI section.

The legislator who was elected on a Jubilee ticket was received into William Ruto’s camp on November 21, after ditching President Uhuru’s Kieleweke side.

Another commotion was also witnessed at the National Azimio la Umoja meeting when thieves were roughed up at the VIP entrance.

The nabbed thieves were caught in the act trying to steal mobile phones from attendants of the event.

Other than the chaos, Kasarani Stadium was filled with delegates from all over the country and citizens who turned up to listen to Raila Odinga’s big announcement.
