Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga now claims that UDA politicians are being targeted by state agencies in the fight against hate speech and inciteful remarks.

According to the outspoken voluptuous politician, the state is using all efforts to ensure that supporters of Deputy President William Ruto are intimidated.

“I am seeing concerted efforts to intimidate, cajole and profile UDA leaders, supporters, and those perceived to be staunch supporters of the deputy president on the guise of fanning ethnic animosity and incitement to violence. We will resist very strongly. We will, “She wrote on Twitter.

Omanga’s Sentiments comes just a few hours after William Ruto asked state agencies to ensure that law applies equally to all politicians who utter inciteful remarks as the country heads towards the August 2022 General Election.

“We want every inciter in Kenya, whether they belong to UDA or the other side, to be treated equally so that we can secure our nation.

” As UDA (United Democratic Alliance), we do not subscribe to any divisive talk. We do not accept talks that profile certain individuals or certain tribes because we are a national party that brings all the communities of Kenya together,” he said.

He said Linturi has unconditionally apologised and withdrawn the statement he made in Eldoret which was understood to mean Ruto supporters should flush out all people against his presidential bid.

“Senator Linturi made a statement which he regrets. A statement that had inappropriate language and he has withdrawn it and unconditionally apologised to the people of Kenya,” William Ruto added while addressing supporters in Bomet county on Monday, January 10.

Senator Linturi was arrested on Sunday, January 9 Morning in Eldoret after the Director of Public Prosecution directed Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to launch investigations into the senator’s Madoadoa statement.

In his apology on Twitter Linturi said he had been misunderstood as he only meant that the politicians who do not support DP Ruto should not be voted for.
