Moses Kuria: Imagine what ‘Raila’s goons’ would do if he is president

MP Moses Kuria has wondered what 'Raila's goons' would do if the ODM leader become the president after the August presidential election.

Outspoken Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has wondered what he termed as ‘Raila’s goons’ would do if the ODM leader become the president after the August 9, presidential election.

Through a Facebook post on Friday, March 25, Kuria claimed that even the ODM leader’s running mate can be attacked in his presence, and he (Raila)will do nothing.

“The attack on journalists by ‘Azimio goons’ at Orange House further confirms something that I told a friend who was moving to Azimio (la Umoja),

“Even if you are Raila’s running mate you can be roughed up by his barbaric goons right in front of him and he will do nothing,” he said.

“Later Makau Mutua will issue a statement promising to investigate. Can you imagine if he was President already ?” Kuria posed.

His reaction came after two journalists were on Thursday roughed up by a group of goons during a meeting convened by Raila Odinga at his party’s national headquarters, Chungwa House.

Kuria’s sarcastic question is not new, there has been a general feeling among some Kenyans that Raila’s tribesmen might be ungovernable if he becomes president.

In fact, some random Twitter user last year  said that there is a notion that if Raila wins, ‘Luo won’t pay rent.’

“Just asked someone who they will vote for in 2022 and she has told me she will vote for Ruto because if Raila wins, Luos won’t pay rent. Where did this notion come from jameni,?” Kijana wa Tuk wrote on Twitter.

Junet Mohammed remarks on if Raila wins

Raila Odinga’s close ally Junet Mohammed last year sparked controversy after suggesting that should Raila win elections his government would only focus its efforts on the people of Nyanza County.

“Let’s not be nervous, when Baba wins, the government will belong to us the people of Nyanza. We don’t want the media people to know about this,

“Mutahi Kagwe might get angry but you’ve had it for twenty years now. This time around it’s the Nyanza people. Mutahi you will come here as a visitor,” Junet said.
