Musalia Mudavadi says Ruto and Raila are too angry to lead Kenya

Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi says Ruto and Raila are filled with anger, which is not good for leadership.

Speaking during a burial ceremony in Nandi County, Mudavadi said that Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga are not the best for Kenyans because they are bitter at something.

“Na ukweli ni kwamba ukiangalia uso wa Ruto hasira, ukiona uso wa Raila hasira, you see anger you see bitterness, ukweli ama uongo? (The truth is that if you look at Ruto and Raila’s faces, you see anger, bitterness, true or false?) Mudavadi posed.

He said unlike the two, he is always happy and smiling hence fit for the Presidential job.

“I am asking Kenyans when you look at me do you see anger? do you see bitterness? Basi Kenya inahitaji kiongozi ambaye ataelekeza Kenya vizuri, kwa sababu Kenya haitaki kiongozi ambaye amekasirika.

(Therefore Kenya needs a leader who can lead it well, not a leader filled with anger)” Mudavadi added.

Being a member of the One Kenya Alliance, Musalia Mudavadi is hopeful that his co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka(Wiper) Moses Wetangula(Ford Kenya), and Gideon Moi(KANU) will allow him to fly their presidential flag.

No doubt, Ruto and Raila have over the past one year or so been engaged in a war of words over their ideologies and real intentions for seeking political power.

Raila and his corner accuse Ruto of starting a class war in Kenya through his bottom-up economic approach that is the basis of his 2022 presidential campaigns.

Ruto on the other hand accuses Raila of being a selfish politician who even initiated the failed plan to amend the constitution through BBI for the sake of creating a political position for himself.

Recently, Musalia Mudavadi recently held a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta accompanied by co-principals in the One Kenya Alliance.

From the meeting, it emerged that President Uhuru prefers Raila Odinga as his successor, and asked the other principals to shelve their ambitions.

However, Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC has vowed not to play second fiddle in the Presidential race in the 2022 General Elections.

“I am in this (presidential race) to the end. I have a clear plan to sail Kenyans to socio-economic prosperity. Anyone who thinks otherwise is daydreaming,” Mudavadi told journalists on August 13.
