Musalia Mudavadi: Sorry Uhuru, I won’t change my decision to work with Ruto

by Amos Khaemba

Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi has vowed to stick with Deputy President William Ruto saying no one will persuade him to change his mind.

Speaking in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, where he held his first joint rally with Ruto, Mudavadi said his decision to partner with Ruto is irreversible.

Mudavadi appeared to take a jab at President Uhuru who is alleged to have told a section of Western Kenya leaders yesterday January 25, at State House that he was disappointed with Mudavadi’s move to unite with Ruto.

“President (Uhuru), you have a right to be disappointed with me. But, I want to tell you: Kenyans are even more disappointed in you. They are hungry, they are tired. Let us not lie..,” Mudavadi said as the crowd cheered him on.

The ANC leader termed Azimio la Umoja being fronted by ODM leader Raila Odinga as a stalled government project saying people will not support such a project.

“We will not accept a government project. Azimio is a stalled state project. Kenyans have united because of our economy. As a team, we want to liberate this nation,” said Mudavadi

At the same time, Mudavadi scolds Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi for walking out of the ANC National Delegates Congress over DP Ruto’s presence.

“Our constitution gives us the freedom to meet and associate with others. But some people when they saw Ruto they ran away,” Mudavadi said.

“If you disagreed with Ruto, that’s for you. You cannot choose friends for us,” Mudavadi added.

Deputy President William Ruto, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangu’la agreed to work together on Sunday, January 23 during the launch of Mudavadi’s presidential bid.
