Ida Odinga’s aide storms out of live TV interview after going off-topic

by Nderi Caren

Ida Odinga’s aide Ruth Ambogo walked out of a live interview on Citizen TV on Friday, November 5 after the heated debate became too hot to handle.

In the interview, Citizen TV’s Trevor Ombija was discussing matters concerning youth politics and promises made to them by politicians.

Ruth Ambogo was asked how Raila Odinga’s government plans to mitigate youth unemployment and job creation.

This did not augur well with Ida Odinga’s aide who started complaining about how political opponents have been saying she is not educated, hence the reason why she missed a cabinet appointment.

Ruth defended herself, saying that cabinet appointments were done with biasness, saying that some Chief Administrative Secretaries (CAS) in office currently are their courtesy of sexual favors to Cabinet Secretaries.

“I completed my degree in Strathmore University in 2017… listen to me Trevor Ombija… this is how we will create jobs…it is your show, and I will say one statement and I will stand up and I will leave… and I will never make any political commentary

The TV host told Ambogo that she is free to leave, and she actualized her threat.

“We are going to experience the youngest government in 2022, where 75 percent of that government is going to be filled with young people who are bold, authoritative and have experienced what it means to struggle,” she said.

Here are some of the reactions from Ruth’s fury.

ODM leader Raila Odinga has been aiming at getting the support of youthful voters, making tempting promises to them if elected the 5th President of Kenya.

In a meeting with youths from the Mt Kenya region on October 4, the ODM leader Raila Odinga promised to give 4 Cabinet positions to them if he wins the Presidential elections.

He made a promise that he will not lie to them like the Jubilee Government did in 2017 campaigns.
