Ruto will be worst president Kenya has ever seen- Huddah Monroe

by Enock Ndayala

Kenyan entrepreneur and social media influencer Huddah Monroe has withdrawn her support to President William Ruto.

The longstanding and fervent supporter of the former Eldoret North MP unapologetically ranked Ruto as the worst president Kenya has ever had.

“Ruto will be the worst president Kenya has ever seen,” she said in a series of Instagram posts.

Huddah added that “Kenya is going back 30 years” warning Kenyans to expect the worst in the near future.

The socialite further warned Kenyans not to elect someone from a humble background to the country’s most senior political position.

“Lesson learned; never give the son of a poor man the presidential seat,” she added.

Kit is worth noting that a few years ago, Huddah had expressed her belief that the then deputy President William Ruto would make a commendable president.

At the time, Monroe stated that Ruto does not play cat-and-mouse games and that sometimes a dictator is best.

“I’d rather have a Ruto presidency. The man doesn’t play these cat-and-mouse games. We wouldn’t be in this position in a Moi era. Sometimes a dictator is best,” she boldly asserted in a social media post.

Her comments come at a time when the price of fuel has crossed the KSh 200 mark for the first time in Kenya’s history.

Under the price regime that took effect Friday and will remain in force until October 14, a litre of petrol in the capital Nairobi has risen by almost KSh 17 to Ksh 211.64 while diesel will cost KSh 200.99.

But in a rejoinder, Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir warned Kenyans to expect the price of the commodity to go up further saying that there is nothing President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government can do to bring the price down.

“There’s nothing much we can do… certainly the pain is heavy, it’s not going to be easy,” Energy Minister Davis Chirchir told parliament’s energy committee.
