Their spat further went on after the outspoken CS dismissed Gachagua’s claims that the Kenya Kwanza government would give priority to those who supported it during the campaigns.

However, in what appeared that the two Mt Kenya politicians have mended their fences, the second in command on Tuesday, September 26, held a meeting at an undisclosed venue.

In a statement to social media X (formerly Twitter), Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua shared photos with Kuria whom he termed as his ‘brother’.

“Continuous engagement is our mode of governance. This evening, in the company of my younger brother, Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria. We had an engagement with businessmen from Kajiado County. We discussed the challenges facing them in their businesses.

Kajiado North MP Onesmus Ngogoyo, was also at the meeting at the Official Residence in Karen.

Their meeting come just days after the second in command dismissed calls from a section of political leaders who wanted President William Ruto to sack the CS over his recent outbursts.

“Moses Kuria is our son. I have heard some people asking the president to sack him. Where do they want him to go? For what reason? Kuria sent statements, and I saw they were a bit overboard, but I asked him to calm down. As a Mt Kenya leader, I can’t allow Kuria to be troubled?” he said.
