Will officialising his affiliation to UDA, LSK President Nelson Havi denied reports that he was William Ruto’s machinery at the legal body.

“When I contested for the LSK presidency, many said I was sponsored by William Ruto. The people I had worked with in ODM said they do not want my leadership, but I won and served all lawyers,” Havi said.

He praised Ruto, saying he did not approach him or insult him while he was serving in the society.

The lawyer said his goal in the national assembly will be to enact laws that will benefit his constituents.

“I am not going to parliament because I am looking for money. I am not going to hide money I have stolen before. I have no flaws. I am capable of serving,

“When I go to Parliament, I will make sure that we have the right laws, that the National Revenue allocation benefits every region, that whatever the national government is doing is constitutional,” he stated.

As Havi eyes the Westlands parliamentary seat, the incumbent MP Tim Wanyonyi is set for the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat.

Tim, who will contest the seat on an ODM ticket has already won the support of Raila Odinga’s wife Ida.

Other than the endorsement from Ida, a poll by Mizani Africa also showed that he is the most preferred candidate.
