A number of senators on Wednesday, November 8, demanded the immediate sacking of Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.

This was after the CS took to his X account (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, November 7, to call out 13 senators over the ongoing impeachment hearing against Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, saying that they were being misled by external forces.

However, Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi in a statement fired back at those who were calling for the immediate sacking of CS Moses Kuria.

Amisi, who was elected on an ODM party ticket, termed as the “joke of the century” a move to sack CS Kuria and leave Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Amisi said Kuria was being used as a scapegoat adding that the UDA regime was sacrificing Moses Kuria for their economic mess.

“Moses Kuria must go, go where? Trying to sacrifice Moses Kuria to cover up the enormous blunders of the UDA government cannot be accepted.  Removing Moses Kuria and leaving Gachagua is a joke of the century,

“In fact, the entire cabinet must go and leave Musalia Mudavadi, Susan Nakhumicha, Kithure Kithure, and Prof. Ndungu on the caretaker desk,” he said.

Amisi said as the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party, they were not part and privy to calling for the sacking of CS Kuria.

The youthful legislator further wondered where Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei was when the opposition side cast doubts on the then-proposed list to fill up the Cabinet Slots.

“Senator Cherargei, where were you when we in the Azimio vetting team presented a report against cabinet nominees last year? You were ululating on top of your voices.  Azimio will not be part of a rich kids’ baseball game,” he said.
