The leaders led by Narok Senator Aaron Cheruiyot accused the CS of interfering with the ongoing impeachment hearing of Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza.

This was after the CS took to social media on Tuesday, November 7, to list 13 senators who he accused were being misled to seal the fate of Meru Governor.

Cheruiyot, who is also the Senate Majority Leader said Kuria, who has been at loggerheads with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has been embarrassing appointing authorities.

“In fact Mr. Speaker, I agree with members of this house who have brought a motion of censure before to discuss the conduct of this particular minister because every given opportunity has done nothing but embarrass the appointing authority,” he said.

Nandi senator Samson Cheragei endorsed sentiments made by his Narok counterpart terming CS Kuria as a “national embarrassment” saying that he does not even respect President William Ruto.

“CS Moses Kuria is a national embarrassment that doesn’t care about respecting anyone including the appointing authority plus institutions such as the Senate but he is not alone he is in good company of CS Murkomen who insults, and belittles anyone and everyone but Kuria only tweets But Murkomen is worse he takes the mic and bullies, insults and demeans the people and elected leaders even in funerals! The appointing authority MUST reign in on these rogue cabinet Secretaries,” he said.

Others who called for the immediate sacking of Moses Kuria include Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, his Homa Bay counterpart Moses Kajwang among others.
