Oscar Sudi rubbishes possibility of Kalonzo Musyoka working with William Ruto

by Enock Ndayala

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has said there is no possibility of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka working with William Ruto ahead of the 2022 General Election.

This is after the former vice-president yesterday announced that the Wiper party had finally exited the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition and was ready to work with other like-minded leaders ahead of the 2022 election.

While reacting to a social media post claiming that Deputy President William Ruto has been financing the Wiper Party and that the two have signed a working agreement, Sudi said that the UDA party cannot work with unreliable people like Kalonzo Musyoka.

“Let me say this with clarity in my mind. It is much better to negotiate with Robert Alai than to negotiate with unreliable leaders like Kalonzo Musyoka,” he said in a Tweet response to blogger Robert Alai

Sudi’s damning remarks add to the already existing political hatred between the Kapseret MP and Kalonzo Musyoka who have been trading barbs.

In June, Sudi lashed out at the Wiper leader saying that he cannot win any elective seat without the support of ODM chief Raila Odinga.

“That is why Raila turns you around. And he (Raila) is a complete politician. Without Raila you would not be anywhere,” The Kapsaret MP told Kalonzo.

This was after Kalonzo Musyoka claimed that he cannot work with ‘tainted’ politicians like Wiliam Ruto and warned church leaders against taking donations from corrupt politicians in a veiled attack directed at Ruto.

“Do not accept everything, and when it is brought to you, you should sanctify it. The church should be a blessed thing, not taking stolen money. You can bring condemnation,” Kalonzo told the faithful.

During the chaotic 2007/2008 General Election, Kalonzo Musyoka, one of the presidential candidates by then took his votes and gave Mwai Kibaki who promised him a Vice-president slot in return.

Although the move brought to an end the post-election violence the country was facing, it, however, extinguished Raila Odinga’s chances of becoming the next tenant at the State House.

It is at this point that Kenyans termed Kalonzo Musyoka as Water Mellon saying he is someone who cannot make a decision and stand by it.
