Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has asked Kenyan men not to let her firstborn daughter Faith Chamutai be married by a white man.

Sudi’s first-born daughter recently graduated with a master’s degree in Finance Management from the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom marking a significant achievement in her academic and professional journey.

Speaking on Wednesday, January 3, during the Thanksgiving ceremony for his daughter, Sudi revealed that Faith had secured a white-collar job in London.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) legislator asked eligible bachelors to make sure his daughter doesn’t find a suitor from London where she will be working.

The controversial lawmaker promised the Kenyan man spying on her daughter not to worry as he would provide a solid foundation for them as his daughter embarks on the new chapter of her life.

“I told her as my firstborn, if she listens to me, I will reward her abundantly. Because you are hardworking, have a job, you have respected me, if you were to tell me you have found a suitor, I am ready.

“I will also give you keys to your own house in Nairobi. I promised to give you a good foundation to start your life. I already bought you a car so I will give you an apartment and now you can walk your path,” the MP said as she struggled to hold back tears.

Sudi praised her daughter for completing her studies and challenged other parents to invest in their children’s education.

It is worth noting that Kenyan men fear learned ladies not only due to current harsh economic times but also due to what is perceived as traditional chauvinism.

For instance, opposition leader Raila Odinga’s last-born daughter is yet to find a suitor despite her age.
