The furious parents stormed St. Gabriel Isongo Secondary School in Mumias East and frog-matched the school headteacher accusing him of posting unsatisfactory results in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

“We want commitments from the principals and that is why we have called for that meeting. No, you have to go home. No, let me show some sympathy for a bit, you to transfer,” Salasya said.

However, the youthful legislator for the first time seemed to regret his actions of attacking the school principal.

In a video, MP Salasya condemned the act terming it “shameful” and asked the security agencies to take immediate action against the perpetrators.

Salasya called on security apparatus to ensure all those who were responsible for chasing teachers away from the school had been arrested and placed in custody.

“Wenye walifukuza mwalimu mkuu and teachers shamefully lazima walale cell kwa simiti kama mimi vyenye nililala kwa samiti kama sungura.

DCC shianda and OCPD shianda police station if you don’t arrest them you must get transferred immediately because you will be sleeping on your job,” he said.

This comes just days after the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has already transferred 17 teachers at St. Gabriel Isongo Secondary School.

Education stakeholders have since condemned the attack on teachers and called for immediate action against the perpetrators.

Among the 179 candidates enrolled at the school, the recently released results revealed a distribution of one B, one B-, 8 Cs, 12 C-s, 24 D+s, 46 Ds, 79 D-s, and 4 Es.
