Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has built a magnificent house for his brother who educated him.

The first-time lawmaker on Sunday, August 20, took to social media to reveal that his dad died while he was in form two and that he was almost dropping out of school.

Salasya, who was elected to the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party, said his brother then stepped and educated him at the university.

In a moving post on his official Twitter account, Salasya, a teacher by profession said he wanted to show his gratitude by upgrading the living standards of his sibling.

“I decided to build this house for my bro who paid my school fee after the death of my father in 2007 when I was in form 2 and also supported to join EGERTON. Inaitwa kurudisha mkono,” the law maker said.

The parliamentarian encouraged those taking care of their siblings and other family members to feel encouraged as the future could bring forth blessings they can partake of.

“If you are supporting today your bro siz cuzo or a friend just do it, usichoke ipo siku atakumbuka,” he added.

Kivumbi.co.ke understands that this is not Peter Salasya’s first move of showing gratitude to his family members.

Earlier this year, the Mumias East MP embarked on a journey to construct his mother a house.

This was after the lawmaker narrowly escaped death in a swimming pool, said he would have lost his life were it not for his mothers’ prayers.

“I was almost dead last year in the swimming pool in South Sudan, but because of prayers, my mother prays for me for God’s protection, the Lord God saved my life when I just saw death with my eyes,

“I then immediately decided to construct this house for her. I am happy it is almost 90 percent complete,” he said.
